About Home Expert

Home Expert was created as a company in 2003 by Peter Goddard who started his civil engineering career working for Higgs & Hill in England.

Identifying a need in France for affordable building surveys, Home Expert offers a fully bilingual (Peter Goddard has dual English French nationality) service for homebuyers considering property and homeowners who need advice concerning their property.

Once ensconced in their new homes, clients returned for help with building projects and Home Expert started to take on project management work, with projects of up to €1 million.

One thing leads to another and Home Expert is now happy to offers a full property management  service to selective clients.

Home Expert is based in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, with an office in Normandy, however Home Expert is happy to conduct surveys elsewhere in France. Peter Goddard holds a pilots licence and is happy to fly to remote locations (Flying Surveyor Service), subject to weather, and there being a local airfield!
